Spotless Grievance Record:

Our attorneys have a clean discipline record, meaning they have not been sanctioned for practicing unprofessionally or been charged with being unprofessional by the governing body. As you will find out if you retain us, we have the highest ethical standards when it comes to serving our clients.

When dealing with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or the Immigration Court, the odds are stacked against you. You have multiple agencies working on your case, and it can feel that many times they are working against you. If you are in removal proceedings, these agencies can be working against you to get you deported. It is in these situations that you need someone on your side that can help you, someone that will fight side-by-side with you, and work for you.

“Notarios” or Unscrupulous Immigration Consultants:

In our practice, we keep in mind how important your case is, not only for your life but for your families’ lives as well. You deserve the most ethical and professional representation to help you with your immigration needs. One of the most problematic issues people face with their immigration cases is that, because they might not have the money to pay for an attorney, they turn to “notarios" or immigration consultants to do their cases and petitions. These people seem friendly and helpful, but they don’t have the knowledge or the authorization to give you the help you need. Maybe they helped your neighbor or someone you know, but in almost all cases the circumstances are different, even if they seem similar. By sending the same papers, you are not guaranteed to get the same results.

Sometimes people turn to attorneys that are unscrupulous, unethical and unprofessional. Maybe you have seen them on T.V., or you have received free books from them, or seen them on videos with people that have had great results and are very happy. But what you don’t see is the high number of clients that are dissatisfied, left without money, and deported. These attorneys promise you everything under the sun. They promise you that you have an excellent case and that you are almost guaranteed a green card or citizenship or whatever the remedy you are searching for. As the client, you are extremely happy because you always want to hear that you have a good case and that your dreams are about to come true. Of course, when they give you this good news about your case, they charge an incredible amount of money up front before your case is seen. This investment turns out to be a bad one in many cases, as the case is denied and you are deported.

When you meet with us, we will give you an honest assessment of your case. We will go over your case in detail with you and we will recommend the best course of action. We are conservative in our approach. As a general rule, we do not put people in removal proceedings like many other immigration practitioners do. This is the practice of filing a frivolous claim to immigration in order for it to be denied and then be put into proceedings in immigration court, in order to qualify for a remedy or benefit. What they don’t tell you is that you are being put into deportation or removal proceedings in order to be able to apply for a benefit such as cancellation of removal, also known on the street as “La Ley de 10 años”. If you are not approved, you are removed, deported, and your family is left behind.

In our office, you will hear the positive and the negative aspects of your case, with our recommendation and advice on how to proceed. We advise many of the people we talk to not to file, because it is either risky or they do not qualify. In our office, we will not charge you for a case unless we believe it is a winnable case.

Our attorneys work on your case personally; we have no figureheads like other firms. The people you meet or talk to on the first day are the ones handling your case from start to finish. Many firms have a famous or recognizable name doing the interviews or talking to you on the phone the first day. Then, you are passed on to several other people that you don’t know and for whom you have not checked their experience or their credentials. They hand you off and, on many occasions, when you sign the contract, the attorney you thought was going to be responsible for your case, is not even listed and takes no responsibility for your case. Don’t let this happen to you.
